I have knitted it up to 8 1/2 ", The border on each side is 6 stitches. and the SS in between is 35 stitches. Exactly which 23 stitches do I slip onto another needle and what do I do with once I do? I could certainly just bind off the 47 stitches I currently have and then sew a seam to make a hood, but I think you may be wanting it made smaller so it pulls closer around the baby's head. I got the yarn from Loop in Islington (London) - maybe if you showed them the picture of the finished wrap and the brand of the yarn, they might recognise it better?
